About the NordicTrack C900
NordicTrack C900
Let’s say you want a home treadmill with lots of bells and whistles, made with quality components, and a model that’s not in the bargain bin or the stratosphere in terms of price. If that describes your shopping situation right now consider the NordicTrack C900 (NTL99010).
Mid-Priced Model with Popular Features
The treadmill motor delivers the horsepower the average workout enthusiast requires, the rest of the machine boasts a great set of features, and it puts a treadmill in your home and into your life at a price that lets you sleep at night. The two most commented on features of the NordicTrack C900 are the QuadFlex™ deck and the Easylift Assist.
QuadFlex Deck
Like their more expensive models, the C900 has four cushioning shock absorbers on each side of the running track that let the deck offer some give when running on it. A lot people commented how much they appreciated the softer landing compared to running outdoors, especially customers with joint problems.
Easylift Assist
The Easylift Assist is what NordicTrack calls a hydraulic arm that helps the user lift the deck up into the storage position, which is when the deck is stored vertically between the arms of the upper console portion of the machine.
However, a few users did mention that although this saves some space, the machine is still heavy to move to a different location in the room, and although it reduces the footprint even with the deck upright it’s not a small machine (see size and weight specifications below)
20 Built in Workout Programs and Manageable Technology
The C900 has 20 built in preprogrammed exercise courses for walkers and runners looking for a variety of ready-to-go routines. This is fewer and less elaborate options than those available in the NordicTrack Commercial C1750 model for example, but with the C900 being sold at 1/3 the price (of the C1750) this is an understandable trade-off.
In fact, reviewers and commenters appreciated the number of program varieties offered. It could be that the NordicTrack C900 is appealing to people who don’t want to be bothered with too many technology options in their treadmill.
iFit Live Compatible but Additional Equipment Required
The NordicTrack C900 is iFit Live compatible, which means it does not come with, iFit Live. What there is is a slot built into the back of the console where the iFit device (sold separately in this case) can be inserted.
Racetrack Style Display Screen
And note that even if you did add the iFit, the C900 does not have the full color touchscreen that the more expensive models have. The only way to fully use the iFit Google maps interface is to add a laptop or iPad (or other tablet device) to the machine. The racetrack display on the C900 isn’t going to work with those programs. However, the iFit will still track your workout goals via their website if you can connect it to your home wireless internet connection.
And as mentioned, many online reviewers of this machine were satisfied with the built-in 20 programs it comes with.
High Maximum Incline Setting
The NordicTrack C900 treadmill, like the more expensive models, has a maximum incline of 15% which is more than most average treadmills on the market and in this price range. And the C900 comes with one-touch incremental settings so there’s no need to keep pressing the Up arrow to adjust the incline as you run or walk through your workout.
Additional Amenities Included
The NordicTrack C900 has a 7” fan, iPod jack and built in speaker system to make sure it keeps pace with the necessities of modern life and offers all the par-level treadmill options.
Nordictrack C900 Warranty
The C900 frame and motor are covered by a lifetime warranty. Other parts are covered for 3year and the warranty on the labor portion is one year.
